The XRF Scanner

Also called an 'X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer'

This is your source of credits.

To use this machine, you will need to fill a vial all the way with a single uncontaminated chemical, and then insert the vial into the scanner.

After 10 seconds, it will spit out a piece of paper detailing what the chemical does and what it is made of.

Without this machine, you will be unable to upgrade your clearance in the Research Data Terminal or perform any

operation with the Synthesis Simulator.

Some chemicals may require a higher clearance level to see their effects, don't worry, you still get the credits from scanning them!

You can scan any of the special Hydroponics chemicals for 2 credits each.
