The Research Data Terminal
This section of the guide details the research data terminal.
This is one half of obtaining credits.
Here you can see how many credits you have available, alongside the ability to upgrade your clearance level.
Your clearance level dictates whether or not you are able to see what a chem you've scanned does.
Clearance level 3 is enough to be able to see every property on hard chemicals.
There are two tabs, "Manage Research" and "View Chemicals".
Manage Research
This tab shows you a list of chemicals you could potentially make, alongside their difficulty.
Easy chemicals are relatively fast to make, but they only give you 3 credits.
Intermediate chemicals may take some time, and involve rarer ingredients, and give you 5 credits.
Hard chemicals require special ingredients only obtained through Hydroponics, and give you 7 credits.
You can only pick one chemical every six minutes.
View Chemicals
This tab shows you every chemical you have scanned in the XRF Scanner, ordered from earliest scan to latest scan.
You can print any of the chemicals and use them in the Synthesis Simulator
However, if you scan a chemical twice, it will show up twice in this list.
If you re-scan a chemical at a higher clearance, you will likely be able to get new information out of it. It is best to print the latest scan of a chemical, as it
contains up to date information.
